Butterflies & Moths of Lebanon

Lebanon is home to a remarkable diversity of butterflies and moths, found across its mountains, forests, meadows, wetlands and Mediterranean landscapes. This collection documents species photographed in the wild throughout Lebanon, from colorful butterflies active in daylight to moths that emerge after dark. Through field photography, we aim to record their natural appearance, behavior and habitats while highlighting the rich insect diversity found across Lebanon’s varied ecosystems.
