Photographer & Field Guide

Two skills, one trip: someone who can shoot, and someone who can get you there.

"My photography lives in the fine details — in the curve of a wing, the light in an eye, the quiet tension of a wild moment."

I'm Bachar Bouka, founder of 360 Photography Nature, based in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. For productions and clients working across the Emirates, I offer both halves of a wildlife shoot: the photography itself — 800mm and 500mm long-lens documentation, shot from a respectful distance — and the fieldcraft to reach the animal in the first place, built over years of repeated encounters across mountains, desert, wetland and coast.

That fieldcraft is the part clients can't fully judge from a portfolio alone, which is why the credentials below matter as much as the pictures. Some of the strongest early work — the Eurasian Kestrel Story included — was made in Lebanon, where the fieldcraft was built before it moved with me to the UAE.

What I Bring to a Production

Hire the shoot, hire the way in, or hire the system behind both.

Photography & Documentation
800mm and 500mm super-telephoto systems, framing wildlife close and tight without closing the physical distance that keeps it undisturbed.
Sustained, narrative fieldwork — not single frames. The Eurasian Kestrel Story below followed one breeding pair through an entire cycle.
300+ species and 6,000+ images across the UAE, built on fieldcraft first developed in Lebanon, plus published contributions to national field guides.
Field Guiding & Local Access
Terrain knowledge across UAE mountains, desert, wetland and coast, built on repeated encounters rather than chance sightings.
Fieldcraft recognized on camera: RAK Media Office's own "Faces & Places" segment was built around it, and HIGHLANDER Adventure has brought me in to present the emirate's wildlife directly to hikers.
A safety and ethics record a client can verify — see the review below — plus an active working relationship with Wadi Wurayah Biosphere Reserve, a protected area.
Technology & Digital Systems
15+ years in IT, databases and systems development, on top of 10+ years in the field — a rare pairing for a location partner.
Built and shipped the platform this work lives on: bilingual species databases, identification tools and public-facing wildlife systems.
Useful when a project needs more than a delivery of photographs — a companion tool, a data structure, or a public-facing platform.

Featured Field Story — Lebanon, Early Career

The Eurasian Kestrel Story

A field-based documentation project following a pair of Eurasian Kestrels (Falco tinnunculus) through an entire breeding cycle — from nest discovery and incubation through chick growth and fledging — set against the cliffs of Lebanon.

Recorded over several weeks: territorial defense, incubation, hatching, feeding routines, fledgling training, and the uncertain moments when weather and predation test survival.

★★★★★

"He is the kind of guide that has ethics and care about the well being of the animals. We left every animal we found the same way… and as fellow conservationist and wildlife lover that is something extra and very important."
