The rugged cliffs of Jebel Hafeet are home to one of the UAE’s few known colonies of Egyptian Vultures (Neophron percnopterus), a globally endangered species. These striking birds of prey can often be seen soaring above the mountain ridges or perched near rocky outcrops, particularly in the warmer afternoon hours. Their presence highlights the ecological importance of this unique desert habitat, making Jebel Hafeet a vital site for vulture conservation in the Arabian Peninsula.
