The Graceful Prinia (Prinia gracilis) is a small, active passerine commonly found across Lebanon, especially in warm lowland habitats with dense vegetation. It favors scrublands, reedbeds, gardens, agricultural edges, and Mediterranean shrub habitats, where it moves restlessly through grasses and bushes with its long tail often held upright. This species is recognized by its warm brown upperparts, pale underparts, and distinctive repetitive calls. Feeding mainly on insects and other small invertebrates, the Graceful Prinia plays an important role in controlling insect populations. Despite its small size, it is highly vocal and energetic, often revealing its presence through continuous song and rapid movement among vegetation.
