The Huntsman Spider belongs to the family Sparassidae, a group of large, fast-moving spiders known for their impressive leg span and active hunting behavior. Unlike web-building spiders, huntsman spiders rely on speed and stealth to capture prey, feeding mainly on insects and other small invertebrates. They are recognized by their flattened bodies and long legs that extend sideways in a crab-like posture, allowing them to move quickly across walls, rocks, tree bark, and desert surfaces. Their coloration is usually brown, grey, or sandy, providing effective camouflage in natural environments.
