Toads & Frogs of the UAE and Lebanon

Toads and frogs are among the most overlooked wildlife we encounter in the field, often appearing only when the right combination of water, temperature and season brings them into view. This collection documents amphibians photographed across Lebanon and the United Arab Emirates, from mountain streams, wetlands and temporary pools to the wadis and freshwater habitats of Arabia. Each species reflects a remarkable ability to survive in its environment, including the Variable Toad, Syrian Spadefoot, Lemon-Yellow Tree Frog, Caucasian Toad, Levant Water Frog, Dhofar Toad and Arabian Toad. Through field photography, we aim to document these often-hidden animals and highlight the important place amphibians hold within the ecosystems they inhabit.
