The Red Sea House Gecko \ Hemidactylus robustus is a small nocturnal gecko widely associated with buildings, walls, rocky areas, farms, and urban habitats across parts of the Middle East and northeastern Africa. It is recognized by its slender body, broad head, large eyes, and pale grey to sandy-brown coloration, often with faint darker markings that help it blend against walls and rocks. Like other house geckos, it has adhesive toe pads that allow it to climb smooth vertical surfaces with ease. Active after sunset, it hunts moths, flies, mosquitoes, and other small insects around lights and sheltered places. Its ability to live close to humans makes it one of the more familiar geckos in towns, villages, and desert settlements.
